Our Mission

The mission of the Blackrock Village Festival is to create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable event that celebrates local culture, supports community groups, and brings people of all ages together. We aim to showcase the best of Blackrock – from its talented musicians and dedicated volunteers to its vibrant local businesses and clubs.

Our History

The Blackrock Village Festival began as a small community gathering and has grown into one of Cork's most beloved local events. In 2025, we welcomed hundreds of residents to a fantastic day featuring musicians Hank Wedel, Lee Sessions, and Colin McLean. The festival had a strong focus on local clubs and youth activities, with a memorable mini parade of young representatives from clubs going from the Marina past the Grotto and onto the Plaza. Building on that success, the 2026 festival promises to be our biggest and best yet, with a full schedule of fun events and games on the Green area and delights for all ages!
